Villa Lorena

In a normal day, doing zapping, I listen somebody talking about animals, a very important topic to me.  A Colombian woman, whit her husband was talking in a very emotional way  about they passions and lives.
Are you wondering what they do??? To me something touching be angels, they give a new life`s opportunity to all the animals, no matter the size, no matter what angry or wild are the animal or how hurt are!! Unfortunately the human been hurt to these animals

In the vision they say “we want to make the people understand about the animal`s importance through community programs where the people can see the animals and learn about the care of them. Also we think the people have to know that the animals don´t have to be captivity. They must be free!”

To me their job, is too much beautiful, but the most important thing they work just whit sponsor, the Colombian government don´t help or some organization who says they help to animals!!!
So i`ll give some links and try to help to this beautiful work, make a donation.  You can save an animal life!

Marie Antoinette

By Tamara Uson

Marie Antoinette was a born as the
archduchess of Austria then later became the Dauphine of France after she got married with Louis-Aguste, the Dauphine of France. And when he became the king "Louis XI of France, she also became the Queen of France and Navarre.

She gained notoriety because she was beautiful and had a charming personality, but later she started to spend lots of money of the monarchy, so the French people looked at her as a big spender, frivolous and promiscuous and because of it, the people started to hate the monarchy and they started to blame her for the misery and poverty that France was at the time.

When the French revolution started, the royal family tried to leave the country, and that looked extremely bad to the French people, so they deposed Louis XI and abolished the monarchy and imprisoned the royal family and later they executed Louis XI, and accused Marie Antoinette of treason and the National Convention convicted her to be executed by guillotine.

Marie Antoinette is still a subject in pop culture, because of her legendary extravagance, stormy love life, her dramas and how she died executed by guillotine.

I chose Marie Antoinette to write in this blog was basically because of the movie "Marie Antoinette" of Sofia Coppola, and that lead me to believe that Marie Antoinette was a just a teenager when she got married to Louis and she had to leave her family, her country, and even her pug "mops" so i only see a young girl with no connection to reality who finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Movie title: "Marie Antoinette"
Year: 2006
Director: Sofia Coppola
Stars: Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman
 Country:  USA/ France/Japan
Languaje: English/Latin/french

La Quintrala

By Javiera Herrera.

Catalina de Rios was the real name of the “Quintrala” a woman that was known for being the cruelest and evilest of the colonial epoch. She was famous, for her beauty, but also because how she abused her servants.

In Chilean history, her figure is mythical, known over the years as an evil woman. The story says, that this woman got married with a spanish soldier, Alonso Campodrío de Carvajar, who was a descendant of the Count Urgel, even though she was married, she had many lovers, that she used and after a while she murdered her lovers.

It is said that back in 1624, Catalina invited, through a loving bill, a wealthy liege from Santiago. When she had him in her arms, she stabbed him and blamed a slave for her crime. Her slave had a trial at the “plaza de armas”. This version is called into question, since, according to what is stated in the will of Catherine, she couldn’t write.

The story also says that she beated and stabbed a man called Enrique Enríquez, an old lover, because he played with her heart (because he refused to hand her a cross, a symbol of nobility, in exchange for a kiss). Enríquez accused Catalina of her supposed love affair with the friar Pedro de Figueroa (her crush). The religious man was married, and she stalked him without success and then she tried to murder him.

She also cut Martín de Ensenada's left ear and that she murdered a gentleman from Santiago, in the presence of another gentleman, after a date. The character of the Quintrala has left permanent marks on the memory and Chilean tradition, and because of that it has written various novels and TV series based on it. In 2011 “ La Quintrala” became a nighttime soap opera based on her story called "La Doña" showing her abusive and her evil personality.

My favorite movie: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

By Javiera Herrera

Harry Potter and the prisoner of azkaban is the third movie of the Harry potter saga based on the JK Rowling books of the same name and this time the director was Alfonso Cuarón, who’s not only took care to accentuate the doubts that happens in the adolescence and the many doubts that harry has about his past and how his parents died.

This time the movie it’s about a Sirius black, a murderer who escaped Azkaban, and especially it’s about harry and his friends Ron and Hermione looking for  the truth about the death of harry’s parents.

This year hogwarts is at terror and now with these events the security of the students, especially harry’s, the ministry of magic decided to sent dementors to look after the school.  Dementors are beings who fed of bad memories and sadness and because of that they steal the soul and any hope and because of some weird reason, the dementors are chasing harry, so he learns to fight them off

In my personal opinion, I believe that this is one of the best movies of the saga, because it caught the attention of the audience, encouraging to read the books and to see movies that are coming and besides the work of the director Alfonso Cuarón, it’s one of the best, where the details of each of the elements that appear on the screen, meet the descriptions identified by  JK Rowling,  by far improving the relation book/movie.

My favorite movie: Under the Tuscan sun

By Camila Garrido

Wikipedia says about the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun is a 2003 film American romantic comedy drama film written, produced, and directed by Audrey Wells and starring Diane Lane. Based on Frances Mayes' 1996 memoir Under the Tuscan Sun, the film is about a recently-divorced writer who buys a villa in Tuscany on a whim, hoping it will lead to a change in her life.[2] The film was nominated for the Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Award, and for her performance in the film, Diane Lane received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress"
Why I'm talking about this movie, it`s obviousl!!!! one of my favorite movies is "under the Tuscan sun" anyone would think that the typical romantic movie to mourn and feel reflected in it, made it for single or someone to believe "the train has passed", but this not my case.
This movie made me think, feel, reflected in some parts with the protagonist, who face a love separation traveling and there is a balance needed, she found somethig that make in the past everything, any pain, bad feeling, it`s just like she took everything in a bag and she throw away.
My mom always teach me, no matter how bad it`s the problem you just have to dry your tears, left everything in a bag and anymore open it, says!!!!Get out of my way!!! Never give up!! And that why I love this movie, no matter what happen, you can´t never give up!! And always smile and enjoy the life.

My favorite movie: The Social Network

By Tamara Uson

David Fincher is one of my favorite directors in the whole world, but when I realized that he was going to make a movie about Facebook, I had serious doubts about what was going on, but then I thought "who’s the only one that can make an amazing movie about “facebook “  without being a silly movie, The only one is David Fincher.

Well, i have to say that the main reason that i watched this movie besides fincher was that andrew garfield was one of the main characters so I went to the theater with great expectations  and after i left the theater, i thought that my expectations were met.

I bet people never thought about how facebook was created and fincher was able to show us  a realistic view on how Mark Zuckerberg did whatever it takes to makes his idea work, even betraying his best friend on the way.

Public Relations and Technology

With the evolution of societies and organizations, different disciplines have emerged and like that it's how public relations born, This discipline is based on communication, that creates or strengthens links with different audiences, being the bridge between the organization and the publics. It can create or improve a positive image of the organization, looking for common codes. We are in a post-modern world where production is only in favor of the business and Today organizations are concerned to keep their public loyal so they can count on them for the actions they take, knowing that they are faithful to the purchase of a product or service, therefore the impression or experience or interaction with the organization vital in terms of image, prestige and reputation. This happens not only externally, but  with the people who are in the organization or have a constant interaction with them, they create interpretations that are also part of the corporate image as you are seeing it from the various companies with which they interact, trying to see people for what they are: "people" and not only as a number that simply complies activities and obligations.

Communications are very important in achieving objectives as mentioned above, to generate good deeds and maintaining links with the public in an organization is fundamental  to the achieve intangible goals. and that's is one of the main goals of public relations

Urban Legends: Slit Mouth Woman/Kuchisake-Onna

The slit-mouth woman (or Kuchisake-Onna, 口裂け女, in Japan) is an urban legend about a woman with a slit-mouth (meaning that the woman's mouth is cut from ear-to-ear. She wears a white mask to cover her severed mouth.

Kuchisake-Onna appears in the streets of Japan, murdering mainly children with a pair of huge scissors. But before Slith mouth woman kills the victim, she asks him/her this question: "Am I pretty?". If the victim answer yes, she will take off her mask, revealing her severed mouth,  and asks "How about now?". This is the tricky part.......if you answer "no", she will kill the victim. If you say "yes", she will take her scissors, and cut the victim's mouth, making him/her have a slit-mouth just like her, but Kuchisake-Onna may let you live. It is  impossible to escape from Kuchisake-Onna, because she can move at super-human speeds.

How did Kuchisake-Onna got her mouth severed? Some say it was a accident. Others say it was a surgery gone wrong. Yet, other people say that Kuchisake-Onna is an escaped mental patient who was so demented that she cut her own mouth apart.
But the most popular legend/explanation was because her husband sliced her mouth a sword because she was cheating on him. After he attacked her, he yelled "Who'll think you're beautiful now?!"

In the spring and summer of 1979, rumors started to spread throughout Japan about sightings of the Kuchisake-onna hunting down children. The story was spread like wildfire, causing many of Japan's towns to become afraid of the Kuchisake-Onna. It even caused the police to increased their patrols and made schools send teachers to walk students home in groups.

This urban legend is so well known in the japanese culture that they even made a movie based in the Kuchisake-onna called "Slit-Mouthed Woman"

Movie title: "Slit-Mouthed Woman"

Director: Koji Shiraishi
Stars: Erico Sato, Haruhiko Kato and Chiharu Kawai
